Hello everyone,
my Asus EEE 1015CX got totally drained after a lot of days in sleep. I want to use it again but battery is still at 0 % level and it won't charge anymore. I used some tricks like put battery out/in and wait some hours, turn my netbook without battery (only on adapter) and then put it in. Everything without results.
I have already tried to boot another system from live CD - not charging.
Thank you for ur advices.

Hi,
Not sure this will help but I've had a similar problem with my Asus UX301, but only with debian-based distributions (this is actually why I came to use Arch). The only way to get the computer to charge again was to power it up, then down again by pressing the power button for about 20 seconds. Its seems to be a bug in the ACPI controller firmware.
Hope this helps

Thx but it doesn't help at all. I can't charge it despite of turned off state. I don't understand why healthy battery with 8 hours duration of up suddenly goes out. I have already ordered new one so hope it helps.

I know, I had the same problem. I even sent the laptop for repair because I thought it was a hardware issue, since the battery didn't charge even when the OS wasn't started : they changed the motherboard but the problem came back 2 days later. Did you try to power it down like I said, by pressing the power button for a long time?

SOLVED - not OS related issue, battery was broken
