getting DRDY at boot?

keep getting this same error message when ever i boot into arch usb, dvd or cd all of them fail. any ideas?

ATA bus errors are most likely caused by hardware problems. Do you have other os's running on this machine successfully?

windows is running fine im using a h61h2-a2 deluxe motherboard if that helps. thinking it has something to do with my bios but can't figure out what.

Did you find http://askubuntu.com/questions/230396/c … ce-at-boot ? It mentions the exact same error you're getting and suggests your cd/dvd player might be causing this; with a possible fix

Not sure if it's related, but I had a similar error and it turned out to be a faulty sata cable.

yep... you were right disconnected sata from my dvd drive and viola... weird... but touche and thankyou.
