Hi, I have the same issue since upgrading to 3.15.1 on Intel HD 3000. I don't know what it is but it seems related to intel driver.

The same problem after upgrading to kernel 3.15.1.1 on ASUS S56CA intel HD 4000.
[drm:cpt_serr_int_handler] *ERROR* PCH transcoder A FIFO underrun
Slim also notice me about this error after some time in normal use, so this error is not only on boot for me!
[eleazar@AVI ~]$ sudo journalctl --this-boot | grep FIFO
[sudo] password for eleazar:

jun 23 20:48:38 AVI systemd[1]: Listening on Device-mapper event daemon FIFOs.

jun 23 20:50:32 AVI slim[2060]: [drm:cpt_serr_int_handler] *ERROR* PCH transcoder A FIFO underrun

I think we have established this is an actual thing: can people please stop posting "me too" and only add additional relevant information to the thread?

According to this lkml thread, it's the Intel driver: https://lkml.org/lkml/2014/5/12/506. Those posts are from May 2014 and reported on 3.14rc4, but I don't recall seeing this error on 3.14, interestingly enough. There was an update to the intel driver for me today: intel-dri (10.2.2-1 -> 10.2.3-1), but also my kernel went from linux (3.15.1-1 -> 3.15.3-1). So either I didn't notice it while on 3.14, it's the kernel bump, or the intel-dri driver.

According to this thread, https://lkml.org/lkml/2014/5/11/85 if the display doesn't blank out, everything is fine. However with the latest updates, the display occassionally blanks out while in use. Is anyone else experiencing this problem as well?

It looks like you hit this kernel Intel graphics bug https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=79261
Try to downgrade to previous versions of kernel and see if it helps.

I tried installing intel-ucode and then did a grub update as mentioned on https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Microcode.
First time I rebooted, I didn't see the errors coming, however it is coming up again. Are there any steps to solve this issue?
