Hello Everyone

Hello, my name is Matt, and I just switched from Ubuntu to Arch.

I have to say, I haven't been using linux that long.. maybe a little over a year.  I started with Fedora 3, then FC4 and then Ubuntu, now Arch, and I love it.  Way faster on my computer, no bloat, and this Pacman is awesome, The only thing I miss from ubuntu is the administration menu.. ( I use Gnome by the way).  But otherwise I just want to say hello and thanks to everyone involved with Arch for creating a great, clean, fast distro.

Thanks and hello again to everyone

Matt

Welcome to the Arch community smile

Re: Hello Everyone

Make sure you have the "unstable" repo enabled (uncommented) in /etc/pacman.conf !

pacman -S gnome-system-tools

That will install some of them at least, you'll possibly find some other admin apps in pacman as well...

Re: Hello Everyone

Thanks

Re: Hello Everyone

You can do it right through the archlinux.org website. Or, if you enable the repo, you can do pacman -Sl unstable.
