Ok... I've installed the base packages, the system boots ok, everything seems fine. How can I select the rest of the packages on the cd by group, as shown during the setup?
It's easy to mount the cd and use pacman on the pkg directory, but browse the packages this way doesn't seem the right way...

For that you'll need to mount the cd so that all packages show up in /var/cache/pacman/pkg/

Arch packages typically aren't grouped like that as far as pacman is concerned. Each package is a package. You're better off just installing apps you need, instead of installing entire groups.
If you're ever missing a package, it takes seconds to pacman -S what you need.

You can search packages for keywords with pacman
see 'man pacman' for all pacman options

You can search packages for keywords with pacman
see 'man pacman' for all pacman options
Also, you can use these categories to help your search on: http://www.archlinux.org/packages.php
but, as mentionned, pacman doesn't use these categories.
