Re: rtl8723be use the drivers from lwfinger's github will deactivated

I just bought a brand new laptop and have started using Arch for the first time, and I'm having the exact same problem - a constant cycle of disconnect/reconnect with my realtek rtl8723be device. Since my kernel is 3.15.1, I'm using the the driver provided with the mainline kernel.

Sorry, I got a wrong link. After I found that, I had already post it again. THX ewaller to reply to me.

I'm bumping because i have the exactly same problem, someone found a solution? I'm desperate! (running arch on the latest kernel, no solution) If this wasn't a laptop I'd simply tear out the wireless card with my teeth and buy another one.
Damn you realtek!

The "from lwfinger" seems relevant. Has anyone bothered asking Larry about this particular problem? He's been responsive in the past and helpful in debugging...

Re: rtl8723be use the drivers from lwfinger's github will deactivated

Don't know if it is related to your issue but... I had a lot of problems with my wifi setup - ATT crap-like router and noname usb dongle that uses rtl8188eu driver. Actually I tried two different dongles and the result was the same - connections constantly dropping, speed is ~20KB/s.... I fixed my problem by buying better router (TP-LINK Archer C7 V2). The router made a *huge* difference for me - now connection is very stable, I do not see any problems with wifi.

But in general case yes, contact lwfinger via github - he is a nice and smart guy.

Re: rtl8723be use the drivers from lwfinger's github will deactivated

I had the same problem as you (and a lot of other people), I have a Lenovo G50-70 and use the rtl8723be driver. I upgraded my system via ethernet one week ago and now the bug is fixed, my current kernel is "3.16.1-1-ARCH". I did a "pacman -Syu" and it worked, try it.
