My network card is a dual band card which I have successfully used to connect to my 5 GHz network. When I booted Arch from the USB installation media I ran wifi-menu and saw my 5 GHz network and successfully connected to it. During the installation my 5 GHz connection dropped and I haven't been able to connect to my 5 GHz network since. I can only see my 2.4 GHz network (which I can connect to). I would like to use my 5 GHz network though. How do I do this?
Useful information....
I've verified that my 5 GHz network is up, I can connect to it on my other computer
My network card works fine, if I attach it to my laptop my laptop connects to my 5 GHz network fine
My card is a Rosewill RNX-N600UBE
Running lsmod shows I'm using drivers rt2x00usb,rt2800usb

Well, that report indicates that your system knows that it has 5 GHz. This is good.
You say it "cannot see" the 5GHz network. How did you make that determination? Could you post the output of (when run as root) ip wlan0 scan iw wlan0 scan ? (Replace wlan0 with the name of your interface)
Other things to consider will be whether you might be missing some firmware, or possibly your regulatory domain. It might be possible that your machine does not know what country it is in and is therefore not using the full range of frequencies available to you. If your router is using a frequency that your machine does not think it is permitted to use, you might not see it. I know your router is in the 5GHz band, but you may want to find the specific frequency or channel it is using (check with your other computer). Then we can check it is in the list you proved above

Yes I did. Thank you, good catch.

When I run... iw phy0 scan I just get the usage help file of iw. I also get the same thing if I sudo iw phy0 scan
I determined that I could not see any 5 GHz networks using wifi-menu and NetworkManager. My 5 GHz network does not show up using either one.

Your device name is wlp0s26u1u4, so the command would be iw wlp0s26u1u4 scan
Also, did you get a chance to find out the specific frequency or channel your access point uses?
What regulatory environment are you in? (What country, if you are willing to share?)

I did not see my 5GHz access point in the scan output

Okay, I fixed it.
My 5 GHz network was using channel 149 or 5745 MHz. I noticed in the iw list readout (see my prior post) that 5745 MHz [149] is disabled. My router allows me to switch to channel 48 or 5240 MHz so I switched to that and now I can see my 5 GHz network. I'm wondering why this is disabled on my wifi card though. This wifi card worked fine on my other computers when my router was on channel 149. Can I somehow enable this channel? Why was it disabled in the first place?

Hi,
It has been an uber hectic day. Sorry for not getting back earlier. I still think it is a regulatory domain thing.. Take note of the example for setting it to the US of A. BTW, enjoy your long weekend -- I know I will

No worries. It was because of your advice I spotted that at all. You're saying that the driver I'm using has these channels disabled by default for regulatory reasons, right? I'm in the US so 5GHz 149 should be allowed...

Was my wifi driver compiled in another county? Come to think of it, I never did change my pacman sources list to put US servers first. I think the first server on my list is from the Netherlands. Could my wifi card driver have been compiled in accordance with the laws in another country?

The link in my post pointed to an article that advised how to set the regulatory domain to that of the US. As root, try iw reg set US
Did you try that?
