As far as I know, this problem is new and started happening about two weeks ago. It may be coincidence, but this issue popped up after I migrated to systemd. I know everyone loves to hate it, but AFAIK it hasn't given me any issues. About two weeks ago there was a game update as well, so maybe that caused it.
I play CS:GO under WINE, and it runs pretty well. I use the in-game voice chat pretty heavily, and sometimes use Mumble if I'm playing with friends. With Mumble, there are no problems. The in-game voice chat exhibits a problem like this:
* At the start of a game, everyone can hear me fine when I push-to-talk.
* After maybe 5-10 minutes, the other players say that my messages are getting delayed and/or choppy. I have to hold push-to-talk for about five seconds, then talk, then continue to hold push-to-talk for about five more seconds after talking. Most of the time they can hear my full statement. If I'm not diligent, the start and/or end of my message does not transmit.
* After about 15 minutes, nobody can hear me at all, ever. I can hold down push-to-talk all day and nothing gets transmitted.
Even while this issue is occuring in-game, my Mumble communications are fine.
I've rolled back to previous versions of WINE with no improvement. I'm kind of stumped.

I have the same problem with wine 1.7.10 and ALSA. Did you managed to find a fix for this?
