visual novel stops drawing when it reaches the right half of my screen

Ok, so this one is REALLY weird. I run a visual novel called "Yume Miru Kusuri" through WINE. Aside from the issues already reported on the winehq page, it works fine.

HOWEVER! Whenever I move the game window the the right half of my screen, it stops rendering. The easiest way to show this is the little animation that plays meaning you've reached the end of the current text and need to click or press enter to go to the next, however also things like bringing up the main menu don't work. The moment I move it back to the left half, it starts working again.

The same thing happens whenever I unfocus the game window. However, when it's unfocused, I can't bring up the main menu and stuff, so I'm 100% sure that it's still focused when this happens (a little sound plays when the main menu is brought up. All sound of the novel still works). The problem occurs when the majority of the window is on the right of my screen - that is, when move than half of the window is on the right half of my screen.

I have a second screen set up to be right of my main screen (but I think my second screen might actually set to be the main screen by xrandr, because I never changed that and that is also the screen where my POST screen pops up and where I go to when I go into a TTY). Note however that the problem occur when I move to the right half of my main screen, and that the trigger is not moving between windows. The problem however does occur when I move the window to the secondary window as well. When I set up my secondary monitor to be to the left of my main monitor through xrandr, the freezing occurs when the window is on my main monitor, and not when it's on my secondary monitor. (read this paragraph more than once, it might be difficult to understand. I did my best to explain it as clearly as possible)

I'd have specified that this was in WINE in the title, but it didn't fit. Please take note of this.

What graphics card and drivers are you using? If you have an Nvidia/AMD card have you tried proprietary drivers?

Nvidia GeForce 440 GT with the proprietary drivers. I don't think it's related to that though, I think it's a WINE issue.

It could very well be related to that, have you tried messing with the nvidia settings (disable anisotropic filtering, AA, FXAA, vsync, flipping, texture clamping) and have you tried the nouveau drivers?

Have you tried going to winecfg and doing overrides for the d3dx9 libraries that the game uses? (i.e. tried forcing it to use built in over native, or vice versa?)
