Kebertx - really like this! Thanks a lot. Would it be possible for you to do different OSes or are you strictly Arch-only?

Space + Arch can't get any better than that.

If I'm curt with you it's because time is a factor. I think fast, I talk fast and I need you guys to act fast if you wanna get out of this. So, pretty please... with sugar on top. Clean the [censored] car. -The Wolf

I did just make a Debian wallpaper that's pretty similar.
I also have one for Trisquel, and I was going to do Ubuntu and Fedora for a friend soon. How does that sound, have I covered my bases well?
I'm basically just taking hubble images, coloring them up, and then whimsically applying filters in gimp, in case your curious about my trade secrets.

Wow, too bad I don't use debian, I really like that one. I think it is something about the debian swirls edges being so much less absolute than the arch symbol.

Kebertx - that's awesome, cheers :-D Debian was actually the OS I had in mind. I have a couple of Debian VMs that I use in full screen, so it's nice to have a clear distinction but still some level of uniformity. If you could post the Ubuntu one when it's done I'd be really grateful. Would FreeBSD and Gentoo also be a possibility? I'm not sure what you mean with the filters in gimp. Is the logo taken from part of the picture or another picture?
also OT - why do the standard wallpapers in OSes look so damned bland compared to this?

Ubuntu is here!
And Trisquel, as long as I'm aggregating...
Free BSD would look amazing, and I think I know just the nebula... Consider me on the case! I can see gentoo looking pretty cool too. Maybe I could put a super-massive big black hole in the center... I'll get back to you. With both, and maybe a new arch one just to keep this thread relevant to Arch Linux.

And the collection is complete!
Yes, a collection is complete without Fedora. Everything is complete without Fedora...
EDIT: The slight hint of text on Gentoo is from a picture someone took of their computer screen compiling the linux kernel during an eclipse. I couldn't resist incorporating it.

Nice. FreeBSD and Gentoo have too many effects for my taste, though.
PS: If you need wallpapers to somewhat fit in a Windows or OSX VM, here are some:

awesome :-D cheers Kebertx. I personally didn't mind the text on the Gentoo one - but if you want to be a perfectionist then there is still some in the black hole (it's a black hole right?). Exactly what I had in mind, thanks again.

Ah, you're right, I missed some. Damn kernel panics, always popping up where they're not wanted! Still, I can live with it if you can.
Cheers to you too, and happy *nix-ing!

Industrial Strength ArchLinux!

Space was compiled only once however.
I may have to CONSOLE you about your usage of ridiculously easy graphical interfaces...

Here's a bit smoother look, I think you'll like this one more.
These are very nice. But unfortunately, they are too small for most people's monitors, and the 1280x1024 ratio is one that will likely not play nicely with today's widescreen monitors.
As far as the content of the art, I do like it very much.

Sorry, I don't mean to necrobump this thread!
I was wondering if, by off chance, anyone here saved a copy of the Debian wallpaper that I posted in this thread? If so, would you mind uploading it somewhere so that I might download it again? I really rather liked it, but I formatted a hard drive and ended up losing the file... I'd really appreciate it!
