[Solved]Packer uses /tmp

Can i make packer to use another folder to build? /tmp hasn't enough space.

You can also increase the maximum size of /tmp if you have enough RAM.

sudo systemctl mask tmp.mount  and reboot smile

By far the easiest would be just to export a TMPDIR variable for where you want packer to do all this.  For example, have the following in your shellrc:

export TMPDIR=$HOME/build

Or of that would interfere with other processes using that variable, just do something like:

alias packer='TMPDIR=$HOME/build packer'
