I have a laptop that dual boots Arch and Windows 8.1. My laptop uses a Realtek Ethernet controller and I'm having a weird issue when I boot from Linux into Windows the controller shows the message "No Network Access". It does recognize that a cable is plugged in, it just won't connect to the network. If I close the laptop lid and re-open it, basically triggering a suspend-resume cycle, the controller starts working successfully.
The Arch wiki has a troubleshooting section related to Realtek and I've tried the suggestions but it hasn't made any difference. I also updated the Windows driver to the latest and greatest with no change in behavior.
