fglrx: module license

fglrx: module license 'Proprietary. (C) 2002 - ATI Technologies, Starnberg, GERM
ANY' taints kernel.
dmesg gives me this (taints kernel), is this anything to worry about.

Re: fglrx: module license

I'm pretty sure that just means that you're inserting a proprietary-licensed module into an open-source kernel, and the licenses conflict.  I"m not entirely sure what this means legally or whatever, but I've just ignored it.

Re: fglrx: module license

It's binary based, which means theres the theoretical possibility of corruption within the kernel.

It's nothing to worry about. However if you do come across unusual behaviour or problems, reproduce it on a fresh boot that hasnt had fglrx loaded before complaining. It may be, and has been the cause in the past.
