Issues rolling back to a previous snapshot

I make daily snapshots of my installation in case something breaks, and indeed I've rolled back to a previous snapshot before.

Before I continue, I don't believe this is an issue with btrfs itself, but rather I think its a BKAC error.

My boot loader is GRUB2 (just plain grub from the repo) and instead of booting with default I hit "e" and change the subvolume from arch to the oldest snapshot (I then work up from there to find the latest snapshot that works). I also change the fstab entry so that the subvolume is mounted to "/", otherwise it can be nasty.

This time when I did, I was getting several boot errors from systemd (red notifications) I didn't catch what they were, or I'd share them. X also wouldn't start.

My question, is then, two fold. Firstly, is my process incorrect? This is my chief assumption. Second, is there any other information I can, and should provide?

[edit2] I chroot'ed into the snapshot and ran "journalctl -p 0..3 -xn" with the following result.
