[SOLVED] Unblacklist Kernel Modules (b43)

Hello, I have a really old laptop with a broadcom wireless card. Since the last kernel update the wifi has stopped working. I realised it was because b43 was not loaded (It works after I run sudo modprobe b43).

I added b43.conf to /etc/modules-load.d/ but I still have to load it manually after boot.
Running

journalctl -b | grep b43

gave me this:

systemd-modules-load[124]: Module 'b43' is blacklisted

I have no idea why it is blacklisted. I've checked modules-load.d and modprobe.d and there's nothing there which seems to be blacklisting it.
Anybody have any idea if there's a way to unblacklist it?

Did you look in /usr/lib/modprobe.d/ ?

Re: [SOLVED] Unblacklist Kernel Modules (b43)

Thank you very much! I did not know about that directory.

There was a file called broadcom_wl.conf which seems to be blacklisting a bunch of modules. I've taken B43 out and it is working again!

Strange, as I always thought I was using B43, but I guess not.
