[Solved]My pacman doesn't like testing

Hi,
  I need to enable testing repos in my pacman in order to have direct rendering with Xorg/ and archck patchset.I uncommented the Testing part of pacman.conf and now it looks like this:

[testing]
Server = ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/testing/os/i686

in vertical order this is the first repo I have, then I did pacman -Sy.
However not all files are in there:

[root@arch gas]# pacman -Sl testing
testing apache 2.2.0-2
testing apr 1.2.2-2
testing apr-util 1.2.2-2
testing gamin 0.1.7-1
testing gsfonts 8.11-1
testing initscripts 0.7.1-21
testing koffice 1.4.90-1
testing php 5.1.2-2
testing subversion 1.3.0-5
testing udev 085-2

Any clue?

You're a bit late - it seems that most of the contents of the testing repo has migrated to current/extra.

the odd thing is that right now ati-driver packages have been renamed http://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?t=18944,community/current doesn't reflect this change,they still have the old packages.also for other stuff.
Browsing ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/testing/os/i686/ shows the packages i'd need:
ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/testing/os/i686 … pkg.tar.gz
ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/testing/os/i686 … pkg.tar.gz

meanwhile:

[root@arch gas]# pacman -Sys ati-driver

:: extra is up to date
:: unstable is up to date

The only thing I can think about is that I'm in the middle of this testing to current/community migration and probably time will fix things up...

It usually takes a while before the database is rebuilt - it takes even more for the packages to propagate through the mirrors.

Anyway, if you're in a hurry, you can always use 'pacman -U package_location' to install the package, 'pacman -U ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/testing/os/i686 … pkg.tar.gz ftp://ftp.archlinux.org/testing/os/i686/ati-drivers-archck-8.22.5-2.pkg.tar.gz' in this case.

Ok thanks,so there shouldn't be any problem with my pacman,I'll try manual install....

they weren't,I commented out every server in /etc/pacman.d/* ,i just kept the italian mirror (I'm from Italy,garr.it) that I use with debian and ubuntu and repos got synced.So problem is over...thanks...hope that having a list with just one server is good enought.
