LXDE "operation not supported" reading from mtp tablet

Hi all, i'm facing a strange issue with galaxy tab tablet and lxde.

[root@archiso Download]# mount
gvfsd-fuse on /run/user/0/gvfs type fuse.gvfsd-fuse (rw,nosuid,nodev,relatime,user_id=0,group_id=0)

[root@archiso Download]# cp /tmp/testfile /run/user/0/gvfs/mtp\:host\=%5Busb%3A002%2C005%5D/Tablet/Download/
cp: cannot create regular file '/run/user/0/gvfs/mtp:host=%5Busb%3A002%2C005%5D/Tablet/Download/testfile': Operation not supported

listing files works and shows file sizes as well, i CAN copy files via pcmanfm TO tablet, but i cant read them back.
files are correctly transfered TO tablet via pcmanfm because i can open them from the tablet.

[root@archiso Download]# pacman -Q|grep mtp
gvfs-mtp 1.20.2-1
libmtp 1.1.6-6

Please, don't mind i'm using the root account; this system is on a live usb  cooked with archiso.

What's going on?

As a side note, kio-mtp under kde works.
