I have a Canon printer (series LBP) which have a driver: capt-src in AUR
I've installed the driver successfully.
But I can't complete its configuration based on its manual! When I run:
/usr/sbin/lpadmin -p LBP3100 -m CNCUPSLBP3100CAPTJ.ppd -v ccp://localhost:59687 -EI get this error:
lpadmin: Unable to connect to server: Bad file descriptor
I don't know why I get that error!?

Post the output of both:
pacman -Qs capt-srcand

pacman -Qs capt-src => Canon CAPT Printer Driver for Linux. Compiled from source code.
uname -a => Linux MZ 3.12.9-2-ARCH #1 SMP PREEMPT Fri Jan 31 10:22:54 CET 2014 x86_64 GNU/Linux

If your output is right, you are behind on system updates as your Kernel is old (even older than the LTS Kernel). I'd start with correcting that problem first.
How long has it been since you've updated this machine? When I get home I'll check my machine, but I also didn't think "lpadmin" lives in /usr/sbin.
