Hi,
I appreciate your work on getting Xorg 7 to our hands, but it didn't work out well for myself.
I tried to update to Xorg from testing some days ago and got major problems. Therefor I switched back to Xorg 6.8. Now as the latest update gave me back Xorg 7, it got fscked up again. These are my issues:
* I get "locale not supported by Xlib" or "X server has no locale support" messages on nearly every X app I start
* Copy & Paste doesn't work anymore! I can paste from some windows to others, but mostly it:
- just don't work
- kills the source application :-((
aterm says "failed to open input method"
* I can't use kbd anymore, I have to disable it in config to get anything done! If kbd isn't disabled, every key I press leads to as if I would've pressed Ctrl-+ instead (switching screen resolution) :-((
Without kbd, keys like äöü don't work on every application, and I have no _AT_ or PIPE key whatsoever :-((
This renders any usage of X useless in longer terms.
Please, please help me out! :-)
Here are some snippets perhaps helpful:

my Xorg.0.log:

my xorg.conf:

(notice: yes, my keyboard indeed has 102 keys)
my package list:

I have to notice that while things got updated, several files got lost(?), even if their corresponding packages were installed. Reinstalling them worked.
To make sure my system is clean, I did some shell scripting to have every package explicitely reinstalled... it worked out quite well and really reinstalled every package (a total of 630, about 1 GB) without problems. But it didn't help...
I really would appreciate any help )
Regards,
Johannes

Did you follow the guide that Judd posted when you did your upgrade?

Is it possible you forgot to grab some drivers?

Thanks for your reply, I did basically the same as in the guide and don't think I missed a package, I double (...) checked that, see also my pkglist if you like, perhaps you find something missing .
