[Solved][tigervnc] since today's update: kwin animations cause a DC

edit: Solved by tigervnc 1.3.1-5, apparently it was missing some sort of patch for xorg 1.16

I'm using tigervnc on arch server side and ultravnc on my windows machine. The vnc session is starting with a systemd-user service, using KDE. Everything worked fine until I updated today (I update about every week).
Now, I can still login fine, but once I execute anything triggering an animation (opening the menu, launching a program, opening yakuake), ultravnc freezes saying it has lost connection to the server. Looking at the vnc log, the vncserver blames the client for dropping the connection:

If I close ultravnc and reconnect, it works again until an animation is executed. There are also some more errors and warnings in the log I never noticed...
Anyone has an idea how I can fix vnc? Only vnc is losing connection it seems, I tried copying a large file over samba and trigger an animation and the file continued copying while vnc connection was lost.

I am not sure if it can be related, but I merged some .pacnew files today, as well. (group, shadow, gshadow, passwd, journald.conf)

P.S.: everything works fine if I login locally, no Xorg crashes or similar.

After some experimenting, the problem is definitely not windows-client-side. Other VNC viewers show the same behavior. I have also disabled all effects+compositing in kwin, the behavior is the same, if not worse. I can now only scroll within wine applications without it kicking me out. Viewing the vnc log in kate for example kicks me out on kate startup and every time I scroll more than 3 lines per second.

It looks like a tigernvc bug though, downgrading to 1.3.1-2 fixes all issues.

I'm seeing a behavior that might be related, both server and client are tigervnc on Arch.

On the client side it seems it stops receiving updates but any action done on the client side has effect, such as moving or closing windows, I can trigger this with xfce4 (compositor off) and twm (didn't try others). I see this behavior when connecting over the local network, either wired or wireless.

If the server and client are on the same machine I haven't been able to trigger this, the same is true if I make the vnc connection go over ssh (ssh -L 5950:127.0.0.1:5950)(assumes server on display :50). I also can't trigger this problem over vpn to a centos box with tigervnc 1.3.1.

I just tried accessing my vnc from an android client, and it was even worse. I had a client active on the desktop also, and while I could see my actions i input on the android client getting executed on the desktop client screen, the android has shown the first screen it got when it connected.
