X again is broken. I can't start X anymore after following the latest hints about that bug/feature/jinx. Since then, x fails to start with · startx not found
· Xorg complains it could not find the font "fixed"
· /usr/share/X11/rgb dissapeared
Be warned.

Just upgraded to xorg7 following the wiki instructions.
Could someone explain why I have /usr/share/X11/rgb.txt rather than /usr/share/X11/rgb ?
And why I can't use ctrl-alt-F1 to change to console 1.
And why xfce4 takes so long to start and won't exit unless X is killed from a terminal?

Well, I am having exactly the same problem. I have to kill xfce4 in order to exit and it takes forever to start. There are no ovious error messages at the console after I kill X.

Just an update: I tried reinstalling xfce4
pacman -S xfce4thinking that something was missing and they would be picked up by dependencies. Unfortunately, it didn't fix the problem.

Just one more thing. I should mention that I the goofy mistake of removing xorg before syncing -- don't ask how I did that.

I'm having the same issue.... I also can't use ctrl-alt-shift-click/drag in my XGL/Compviz window.
EDIT: I saw somewhere that you should change the driver for your keyboard to "kbd" and remove the line specifying XkbRules. I'm going to do that as soon as this pacman update finishes.

This fellow figured out the xfce slow startup and shutdown issue.
Good luck
