Well, this is strange. I have a core2 -ck kernel from repo-ck, and all I (not) get is this:
$ cat /proc/filesystems | grep f2fs $ sudo cat /proc/filesystems | grep f2fs [sudo] password for juha: $
Have you modprobed the f2fs module, like I did in my output? I'm doing this on linux-lts-ck-3.14.10-1 (essentially just linux-ck stuck on the 3.14.x branch).

Claire is fine.

Shot in the dark here (or at least a shot in twilight), but have you updated your kernel and not rebooted? You can't load the f2fs module if it's not compiled for the kernel you're running.
You should still be able to use the mkfs.f2fs userspace tool to create a f2fs partition though (either manually, or via gparted/other tools).

Well, I tried in two ways:
1.cat /proc/filesystems
returns supported filesystems and f2fs is not among them
Which just means you havent' loaded the module
2. run gparted on a f2fs filesystem - it was not recognised.
Which means you haven't installed the client side tools. Check the optdeps of gparted.

I'd say to try
zgrep 'F2FS' /proc/config.gz
and see what comes out of there. That should actually be pretty informative as to whether you have F2FS available in the kernel. You'll still need the userspace tools, of course.

Damn, I totally overlooked the modprobe part.
F2FS is there, after all. Thanks.

Hmm, the problem with the dependency issues of virtualbox-ck-guest-modules (https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 6#p1432496) seems to be still present…
Is this the wrong thread to report such issues? And if so, where is the right place for this?

Create an account for the AUR, go to the package here and flag it out of date, citing these issues.

Hm, it is already flagged out of date, so I can't describe this issue there…

You can still create an account and add a comment so graysky knows why it's been flagged out of date.

Updated to 3.15.3-1 with ck1 but I will not be around much due to a family reunion we are hosting over the 4th of July holiday. As usual, users wanting to "old" version, 3.14.10-1 in this case, may find it in the archive section of http://repo-ck.com
As I said, will not be around much. Back now. Sorry about the vbox oversight. Fixed with 4.3.12-6 which is online now. 3.15.4 with the updated bfs v0.449 building now.

Just wanted to thank you for your work, graysky. The BFS/BFQ combination almost entirely eliminated the consequences of the notorious 12309 bug on my system.

Run
LC_ALL=C <command>
to get the output in English.
Please check the wiki: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Re … _regularly (at the very bottom).

It's good now, thank you.

FYI (no response requested)
1) Twice in last 7 days have had to restart download from repo-ck
(no biggie, thought you might want to know)
2) THANKS for your great work with ck kernels... .. !
I use the -ck kernel with i7-2600, with BFS. I run BOINC in off hours with hyper-threading disabled and scheduling policy SCHED_BATCH for BOINC projects. CPU utilization sits at 100% and throughput has more than doubled.
See screen shot here.

Seems that there are some issues with the server/host, i'm only getting about 20KB/s download speed.

Try powerpill. It works for me and I too had issues with, say, yaourt updates of linux-ck.

There is because they want. It's all explained on this thread if you want to spend your time to read it.

The explanation is a 100 posts back, so I don't mind Commander asking about it.

Yeah, but I've been too lazy to change, so I'll do it now.
I maintain 5 systems, two of which use the -ck kernel, and I update them daily. The repro hasn't really been a problem, I just reran the update and it almost always works the 2nd time. It only happens once every couple of weeks or so. No biggie. I wouldn't have mentioned it except graysky mentioned he was concerned about his provider.
Update: switched to wget as described in Archlinux wiki: Improve pacman performance and so far the only noticeable difference is in the total amount of output, but the switch was very simple.

Is there any chance that you can build a bbswitch package? It would save me building it or using dkms which I don't use at this point due to your excellent prebuilt packages

Sorry, no. Too many to maintain. Need to make some decisions.

graysky, I don't know if you're busy or if you don't have repo-ck wiki article on your watchlist, but I'd like to make some changes - see https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Talk:Repo-ck
Yes, I know it's a wiki and anyone can edit it, I just wanted do ask for your take on these issues.
