Clementine cannot open MTP device

Hey guys, I am trying to sync dynamic playlists of my favourite music to my Android device so I decided to try Clementine.

When I connect my Android (GT-I9300) it does show up under 'devices' but will not 'connect' and browse the device.

Also just tried syncing a file to my Android device and got this:

Not sure but have you considered using the clementine app for android as you can get your music from the player to the phone

Sorry, that is not a viable solution.

I'm looking for a method to automatically sync my dynamic playlists (including both music files and the playlist files themselves) to my Android device (removing any files from the device which no longer exist in a playlist).
