I just upgraded to Xorg 7 following the instructions at http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Xorg7 to solve the bitstream-vera problem.
The "pacman -Rd xorg" went smoothly.
But when I did a "pacman -Syu", the following error occurred when ugrading gtk2:
upgrading gtk2...
/usr/bin/gtk-query-immodules-2.0 while loading shared libs: libXrender.so.1: cannot open shared object: no such file or dierctory
g-module-open() failed for /usr/lib/gtk-2.0/2.4.0/loaders/io-wmf.so: cannot open shared object: no such file or directory
Are these errors serious? How do I fix them?

xorg didn't get installed when that package was updated:
pacman -Sy xorg gtk2 ttf-ms-fonts

Thanks. That did the trick. The second time I installed gtk2, I saw no errors.
