NetworkManager slow after switch to XFCE

I had been using gnome3 for a bit and needed to make a change to xfce4 to get x2go to work correctly.

Howevver, since the switch, i've been having all sorts of issues with NetworkManager. My wireless speed is now 72mbps, it should be close to 150.

Is there any reason why my speed would decrease so much?

For those interested:

Re: NetworkManager slow after switch to XFCE

It's highly dubious it has anything to do with switching to XFCE. NetworkManager sucks anyway, try netctl. That's my suggestion.
