USB Mouse Wheel just working in 'System-Apps'

Hi,

I'm using ArchLinux on a Lenovo Thinkpad E530 (i7-3632qm, 16GB-RAM and 500GB SSD) as my Workstation. Now I've added a KVM Switch using an external Monitor (VGA), Keyboard and Mice (USB).
Scrolling with the IBM Joystick and with the Synaptics Touchpad is working, but my Wheel on the USB Mouse is only working in 'System'-Apps like Gnome-Terminal or when I test my Mouse Settings in the System Preferences. As soon as I try to scroll in Firefox or LibreOffice Writer there is no reaction from the USB-Mouse-Wheel.
Has anyone an idea why this is happening?
