FVWM screenshots --> searching for new configs.

Here I am not expecting beauty pictures of FVWM but screenshots of configs (features and tools) used by the users. And then makeing into archwd packages.

Requirement:
1. screenshot
2. list of configs what're visible and description.

thumb-archwd.jpg

1. Dynamic menu (top left corner).
2. Conky system monitor.
3. Pager (right side).
4. Static menu with decoration and wallpaper browser.
5. Panel with static menu with mount device browser (at the bottom).

Re: FVWM screenshots --> searching for new configs.

My simple fvwm config is basically a hack and modification of 3 or 4 different configs (some of which came from our very own Stonecrest) combined to make one that suits me and my needs:

screenshot1ls.th.png

This one's similar to the last one I posted but I've added a few things:

system monitor:  conky
launch icons:  fvwmbuttons
applications panel:  fvwmiconman
thumbnailed apps:  firefox, rox, and graveman
wallpaper:  waiting for the sun to rise

I'll post the configs after I've had a chance to clean them up a bit.

Re: FVWM screenshots --> searching for new configs.

As simple as I could get it, basically a *box rip in fvwm.

fvwm6ow.th.png

monitor: conky
panel: pypanel

that's pretty much it, if you want my config i can supply it but the only thing i have that's missing from archwd (last time i checked) is a pypanel package

Re: FVWM screenshots --> searching for new configs.

Sorry I forgot to explain that, that's a patch it's not part of fvwm-vanilla. The patch is in the fvwm-trans package in AUR.

The configs of these features, are they in Fvwm Forums, in your post?

Here's my screen shot.
fvwmss_thumb.png

- upper left: adesklet-weatherforecast
- upper right: conky
- left side: FvwmIconMan of thumbnails of minimized windows

rasat: I fixed a typo in the thread's  title (FVWN -> FVWM) wink
Let me know if you want the configs.

Yes, they certainly are. Everything I mentioned is (or should be).

Re: FVWM screenshots --> searching for new configs.

New update....
Thanks stonecrest.

thumb-archwd3.jpg

1. Weather (launch and "today"  at upper left corner, and 5days weather)
2. Calendar
3. Conky
4. Pypanel (at the bottom)

For both calendar and weather still requires some fine tuning.

You could make the weather and calendar script transparent and remove the titlebar with the NoTitle style option so they will integrate nicely with conky.
That would really make an awesome screenshot big_smile
