desktop navigation with touchpad

Hi

i have installed archlinux a few weeks ago and i'm satisfied.

i would like to know if it's possible to switch desktop with two finger sweep with the touchpad.

Hey Dcharov, welcome to the forums. The answer to your question depends on your desktop enviornment, your touchpad and your touchpad driver. If you want to get an answer to your question, you'll have to provide more information.

Does your touchpad support multitouch (and does the linux driver have support for multitouch)? I don't know about the support of xfce for mouse gestures, let me check that.

Also check out the wiki article on synaptics. There is a lot of information there.

EDIT: It seems that xfce does support 2 finger scrolling out of the box, but changing workspaces with the trackpad will take a bit more hacking.

EDIT2: After some searching, I found this page. The software mentioned is in the AUR, so you might want to try that. Watch out though, the software hasn't been touched in 2 years.
