I just adopted a long time orphaned AUR cssc package and submitted an updated tarball which appears on the AUR web page with the other new metadata etc. However, I find that clicking on the View PKGBUILD link still shows the old PKGBUILD. I have read all the appropriate wiki etc and think I have done everything correctly. Have I missed something?

On the PKGBUILD listing, refresh your browser - F5 or Shift + F5 or whatnot, whatever forces a new load of the page. It is very likely that your browser is just caching the old listing even though it has changed.

Hit refresh.
It shows the 1.4.0-1 PKGBUILD for me.

Well I hit refresh plenty of times and it didn't make any difference. Just did it again after posts here and it updated. Does that link get updated in a periodic background job on the site?

You need to do a refresh of the page which bypasses any version already in your browser cache. I've seen that happen before, viewing the PKGBUILD via the web-page it was out of date, manually downloading the PKGBUILD it was correct, and then going back to the web view it was still out of date until I did a cache-bypassing refresh. The particular way to force such a refresh differs by browser so you could just do a google search to see what your browser force reload is.
