after the new Xserver and the new method to autostart XBMC in standalone mode (first metod in the wiki) the audio does't longer work. why?

I've opened a topic also here: http://forum.xbmc.org/showthread.php?tid=203026

Re: XBMC audio doesn't work after update

Using pulseaudio?  If so, it's a known issue without a real fix, https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php … 8#p1445638

Re: XBMC audio doesn't work after update

It's not my choice to use pulseaudio, but if I set "HDA ATI SB, ALC662 rev1 Digital S/PIF" instead of pulseaudio I don't get sound too...

Re: XBMC audio doesn't work after update

Did you add the delay as shown in my linked post?  Do you have logging enabled for xbmc?  Post the output of:

grep -i 'warn\|error' /var/lib/xbmc/.xbmc/temp/xbmc.log

Re: XBMC audio doesn't work after update

If you're not experiencing the problems I posted in that thread, the delay will do little for you.  I was pretty throughout in my post with logs etc...

Re: XBMC audio doesn't work after update

so is not the delay the problem? I don't understand your answer sorry

I have another question, how to start xbmc-standalone as my user and not as xbmc user?
