Incredible scrots, discussions and feedback all through August by everyone involved. Thank you!
Time for a new thread.
Posting Guidelines
· DO NOT post full resolution screenshots! You can use the "mogrify" command (pacman -S imagemagick) to make a thumbnail of your screenshot:
$ convert -resize 250x250 screenie.png thumb-screenie.png
Sizes Twenty percent of the original size is great for 1024x768 screenies. For bigger sizes (and especially for multi-monitor setups), we ask you to keep in mind not everyone uses broadband, and use an even smaller size (10% of a Full HD setup will still be 192x108, for example). NOTE: Anything wider than 250px or over 50Kb in size will be removed.
You can then upload these images to your server and use the following code to show them on the forum:

*Thanks to Thayer for the screenie (more...)
· Several websites offer free image hosting.
Use the "thumbnail for forums" link code that is supplied by the image host to post your thumbnail link.
· Once the new month begins please do not post new screenies in the old threads.
· If the screenshot has questionable material that might not be safe to view while at work or in a school setting, please post only a link and not a thumbnail, along with a mention of "Not Safe for Work". Posts that do not adhere to this are subject to deletion without notice at any time.
· Please try to include any links to your wallpaper or configs that you may have and/or the names of your icon theme, running apps, DE, etc. in the same post to reduce unnecessary clutter later.
***** Your screenshot will be replaced by a reminder if you do not follow these guidelines *****
* As a simple way to include information about your setup in the screenshot, you can use a tool like screenfetch (in [community]) or Archey, screenfo or alsi (all in AUR) to print out details about your window manager, font, shell etc., with a very attractive ASCII Arch logo...

Installed Arch today... Running Xfce 4.11.
Mimicked the layout of my desktop, which is running Manjaro.
My laptop purrs and is ubar happy atm.
If your interested, you can follow the instructions here to get the same layout: http://fav.me/d7xasm2
Works for both Arch and Manjaro.

Same basic setup, but new font and look... If you notice how large my root directory is, it's only 12 gigs because I was playing with KDE XD

One of the reasons I switched to Arch ... up to date Gnome packages.

@fb0x: I listed all components in the 'dirty' screenshot, just check the gvim window.
In short it's https://aur.archlinux.org/packages/elem … icons-git/

KDE + Conky. I really like it clean and since one can do almost anything with krunner these days there isn't any real need for a panel anymore

Solarized was getting too comfortable, so I'm trying something new! I'm far from done, among others I don't have a fitting gtk or icon theme yet.
WM: bspwm
BAR: Raedwulf's fork of (Lemonboy's) bar(-aint-recursive) with xft support
TERM: st
TERMCOLORS: Base16 Marrakesh
TERMFONT: Liberation Mono
SHELL: zsh
I started fiddling with dwm a bit so my next scrot I'll probably be trying that out.

regurgitate the rainbow!
the colours are nice, though. maybe try making the light green / yellow orange more palatable?

This is my simple w9wm desktop. w9wm is a modified version of 9wm, which tries to emulate Plan 9 window manager.
Panel at the top - dzen2 (with conky) with three buttons: xterm, mpd controlling and toggling transparency of active window. Windows - sonata, irssi, tty-clock, archey. GTK Theme - Boje-Greyscale. xterm/GTK font - Terminus 8/Droid Sans 10.

No, not on the clean wallpaper!
Thanks for the suggestion, colors aren't really my thing but I'll look into it.

Hi!
This is the colorscheme (far from perfect, still working on it).
I found the wallpaper on wallbase, but apparently the site is defunct :-| . Here you can find a bigger size.
Cheers
