Borderlands 2 is showing up as installable under Linux in Steam

When I noticed it, I was pretty surprised and found this article:  http://www.gamingonlinux.com/articles/b … irmed.4235  which is only from yesterday, and it made it sound like BL2 was coming in the not-too-distant-future, as in months or something.  I couldn't find anything about it already being released though.  Can anyone else see this?  Is this some weird fluke?

Re: Borderlands 2 is showing up as installable under Linux in Steam

Yeah, must be some kind of goof by Valve or Gearbox or some other involved party.  I just "installed" it, and it downloaded 0/0 bytes, and claims that the game is installed.  It won't start of course because it is missing executables.  I tried verifying local files, and it said that everything was OK, even though there is nothing installed.

Maybe it's almost ready though?

Zero-sized binaries are very common in the weeks leading up to a release, even on Windows Steam. If you install now, it will do a large "patch" on release day, which should contain all the files it needs to run.
