new install partition problem

hello, installing arch on a new computer, I've been unable to create a /tmp partition. I've got an error message all the time and installtion stop. Removing the /tmp everything is going fine...
usually I'm doing this partition on my boxes:
1  /boot
2  /
3  swap
4
5  /tmp
6  /var
7  /home
8  /usr

Re: new install partition problem

Were you able to create those partitions? If you were, simply mount them all under /mnt. Once you've done that, start the Arch installer and skip the "Prepare disk" part. Go directly to "Install packages".
