ncmpcpp interface slow

So, I was running ncmpcpp and was perfectly happy with it for awhile now. Everything worked, it was great (I was using the git version). Today, however, I turn on my computer and the ncmpcpp ncurses interface is laggy.

When I go into the library view and scroll down through the artists, it takes at least a second for any of the albums/songs to show up beside the name. When I scroll down through the albums, it takes a second for the songs on the albums to appear.

So far I've tried reinstalling ncmpcpp (both git and normal, not at the same time), and both versions have this issue. The only major change to my computer today was setting up pdnsd for a dns cache, however killing pdnsd and pointing resolv.conf back to my router didnt do anything (not sure why it would anyways). I've sort of hit a wall because there are no error messages produced, its just a bit slow where it used to be instant. Other ncurses programs work fine, such as calcurse, so I doubt it's that. The ncmpcpp log doesn't show any issues, neither does mpd's. Anyone have/had a similar problem?

Ah, thanks for the heads up I reeeeallly hope they add an option to disable this, I'm going to have to find a new player or compile an old version from source

This "lag" is just a short (250ms) delay added to limit the data fetched from MPD when you scroll through media library. But I guess that not everybody likes it, so yeah, there will be an option to disable it.

Awesome, thank you for adding an option in It's only annoying when trying to navigate through the interface quickly. If I go down to the artist I want, and then try and go over into the album column, I often do it too fast and end up getting an message about mpd having problems setting the volume.

Looks like unK implemented a setting in that mantis task I referenced above in 67f2903:

data_fetching_delay = no

Confirmed expected behavior in ncmpcpp-git (AUR). Thanks, unK!
