[Solved] Take advantage of rootless X.

Hello, I recently installed Arch and setup Gnome as my DE. I am currently using GDM. However I want to experiment a bit and use the new feature of X-org, which is start rootless. What I'm planning to do is to disable (I don't want to remove this fully) GDM and start X at login using the directions here. https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Start_X_at_Login

Is my idea right? Or I am missing anything. Thanks.
