[SOLVED] font in terminal thickness jumps

I just switch from Ubuntu to Arch. After all setup, I found the font in the terminal (terminator) changes not that continuously while I zoom in/out.

beforezoomout

afterzoomout

The fonts are "ubuntu mono". The first one is in size 14, the second one is shown after press <ctrl>+-
Obviously, the second one is much thinner than the first one.

Any one here know what is the issue? I don't observe the same phenomenon in the Ubuntu gnome-terminal.

Re: [SOLVED] font in terminal thickness jumps

Welcome to Arch. Is the small font thicker if you start with it instead of changing sizes mid-session? If not, I think the only issue here is that "terminator and gnome-terminal are different".

Great things come in tar.xz packages.

Re: [SOLVED] font in terminal thickness jumps

Thank you ConnorBehan. I searched and tried different fonts later. The one "inconsolata" turned out to be the best without any problem.
