I'm using a Plantronics Gamecom 780 USB headset. As far as I can remember, the volume sliders haven't shown up in AlsaMixer.
In the playback tab I get a 'PCM Capture Source' option that has 'Mic' (Works), 'Line' and 'IEC958 In' (neither of which work). There are no other sliders (including the lack of a volume slider).
In the capture tab I get 'Line' and 'Mic' sliders, as well as some 'S/PDIF In' thing that doesn't seem to do anything.
I've tried using PulseAudio before, but there are things I dislike about it and would rather solely use ALSA. If there's anything I can provide to help you help me, please say so.
