dbus broken

dbus seems to be broken. The daemon is running but I'm not seeing my CDs and memory cards popping up a dialog in KDE any more.

# dbus-monitor 
Failed to open connection to session message bus: Unable to determine the address of the message bus

Im pretty sure you dont have a session bus running

what happens when you do a /etc/rc.d/dbus restart?

if you use startx you can add this to your .xinitrc:

dbus-launch --exit-with-session

Andthat'll start a session bus

Well, the daemon was running. It was just an anomoly with the various updates lately, it has fixed itself.
