Kernel 3.16 core dump on Hyper-V VM (ReiserFS root)

Hello!

Today I've got core dump on my Arch in Hyper-V which has Reiser root FS

Possibly, it is caused by hard reset on friday - my fault..
Anyway, problem was solved with fsck.reiserfs from Arch setup iso. But it produces two questions:

1) Shouldn't be kernel smart enough to prevent crash and run all needed diagnostics?

2) Could it be related to this 3.16.3 kernel bug?
