I have had a problem with shutting down my Lenovo Y510p laptop for some time, and with the latest kernel and nouveau driver continue to get a delayed shutdown and similar when rebooting, due to a kernel oops that seems to be related to the nouveau driver. I reported this upstream to the kernel bug list a while back but there seems to be no resolution. I put journal logs into the report at:
https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=82711
but there seems to be no progress to fix this issue.
Does anyone have a similar problem, or can you suggest if this needs to be reported upstream elsewhere than the kernel list? I am presuming that this is not an arch specific issue but I can't be sure. Any hints on where to progress this to get a fix would be appreciated.

The only way I can get the laptop to behave sensibly on shutdown is to blacklist the nouveau module at boot and rely purely on the intel graphics - seems to suggest that there is a bug in the nouveau module for my graphics hardware.
