Create CD/DVD 'snapshot' of current system? [SOLVED]

Is there some way i would be able to create an install CD of some sort based on my current arch system?  I am currently using only 4GB of my partition, and would like a way to be able to install a new arch system that will install all of the packages i have installed as well as copy over all the config files i have used so that it basically installs the exact same system that i currently have.  that way if i mess up my system again, i would be able to just pop in a disk and install arch again, without having to download all the packages and edit all the configs.  Is there some way i can do this?  i would even go with a liveCD maker if it has the option to install from the CD/DVD.  I know this isnt going to be an easy task, so i was wondering really if there are any tools out there capable of creating an .iso for me to install from.  or even something similar.  Would it be unwise to burn my whole / directory to a DVD and then if i need to fix something i can just copy the whole directory to an empty ext3 partition.  I would do this using the ext3 drivers for windows or a live linux CD.

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks!

There's some scripts to create custom install CD. I'm not sure where they are. Do a forum search (especially the 'User Contributions' section) and check wiki.

EDIT: It might not be what you're looking for.

Re: Create CD/DVD 'snapshot' of current system? [SOLVED]

Yea after i read andy's post i spent a couple of hours trying to get it to compile, with both the AUR pkgbuild as well as the source from the website.  I finally gave up when i found that knoppix is created with the program.

I am going to make the system restore CD as a DVD along with my image so that i can just pop the disk in to restore it.  Thanks for the help!
