Minecraft screen blinking

Hello,

I was searching google for a quite long time to fix this problem - no solution found.

Minecraft used to blink in light blue colour, but now it doesnt or does very rary, but I can live with that.

Now it blinks, not very quickly, despite fullscreen or not, it is annoying actually. its like black screen for ~20ms and about every second. If I stand still in the game - it doesnt. (or a bit, but basically not blinking). Also doesnt blink in menu at all.

Some useful information:
KDE 4.0, installed both 32bit (lib) and 64bit gpu drivers, laptop: Asus N550JV, "disable effects for fullscreen applications" is checked in settings.

Re: Minecraft screen blinking

Unfortunately I have the same issue. It makes minecraft unplayable on Arch for me.

Re: Minecraft screen blinking

so, basically I solved this problem, but not really.... anyway, It works 100% without problems, so lemme explain what I have done and maybe you will have the idea (but not the actual solution)

I am the beginner at arch linux, still haven't mastered it yet. I love it. I didn't know much about bumblebee so I installed without it. I used arch linux for about 1 week, but I decided to reinstall it - create regular user, avoid errors which I currently had and set up gpu drivers properly.

minecraft worked fine after fresh install, until after some time after using primusrun I started to have lags. the best thing I have done so far was - installed openbox (but I still daily use KDE). Openbox only for gaming. Install it, configure menu, configure new xbindkeys file for volume changing and thats it! fullscreen games like minecraft or borderlands 2 work absolutelly FINE on openbox in fullscreen mode. on login screen manager (I use KDM) you can choose whether you want to load KDE or openbox.

Use openbox for gaming - the best performance, a very basic graphical interface lets you run programs without suppressing/modifying/changing any effects/applications with full performance speed, not like KDE - "suspend effects for fullscreen applications" and blablabla.....

BTW I use "primusrun java -jar minecraftLauncher.jar", but actually, I use "optiprime" to avoid lag delay in minecraft (check it here: http://askubuntu.com/a/321595)
