Hello,
I can't connect to the internet before installing. When launch dhcpcd -A wlp1s0 I got a timed out message.
Of course, I have set the SSID/psk in /etc/wpa_supplicant.conf
Can anyone help me ?
I've followed all the steps https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/be … e#Wireless without wifi-menu (wifi-menu didn't work).
I also tried this without luck : http://superuser.com/a/807893/238291
Thanks
Network controller : Qualcomm Atheros AR9285
Kernel Driver/module : ath9k

I just recently did one of these, and I can't remember whether there is a firmware file that goes with it. It's hard to get wifi to connect to WPA routers without a little help. Anyhow I can get it to connect to my N router, but it only connects at G speed. May just be a SNR that affects the top speed, but I don't think so, because I can have it nearby and it only goes to G.

I may have to CONSOLE you about your usage of ridiculously easy graphical interfaces...
Look ma, no mouse.

Please paste the network block you have for the SSID. Note that the default path now is "/etc/wpa_supplicant/wpa_supplicant.conf", but if you only use dhcpcd to connect (and let it launch wpa_supplicant) this should not matter as dhcpcd looks in the old path as well.

You could also try dhclient.

I usually just use wifi-menu at the setup step, then use a network manager that comes with the DE after I'm done with my setup.
