I noticed that when I suspend my machine, resume, and then play openGL games like Dota 2 or L4D2 that the performance is not as good as a fresh boot. The framerates are reduced and the overall experience is less smooth. I am using the open source radeon graphics drivers with a Saphire R7 260X and Arch Linux 64-bit with Cinnamon desktop. I had a similar issue with my HD6670 graphics card.
Has anyone else noticed this? Has anyone found the cause or identified a solution? I suspect this is a suspending issue with xf86-video-ati, ati-dri, or lib32-ati-dri.

I am still having this issue with the 3.15.1 kernel and mesa 10.2.1. It seems like dpm is not enabled after resuming from suspend. When checking `cat /sys/kernel/debug/dri/64/radeon_pm_info` my system should move from mclk: 15000 to mclk:150000 when running Dota 2 or L4D2, but this does not happen after I have resumed from suspend unless I reboot.

I am still having this issue with kernel 3.16.1-1, xf86-video-ati 1:7.4.0-3 and mesa 10.2.6-1. Has no one else noticed this?!

...not the answer you'd like, but you really need to talk to upstream by filing a bug report so that ati devs can look into it.
Help me to improve ssh-rdp !

Should I file it for the kernel, xorg, or mesa? I feel like kernel or xorg is more likely.
