conky not staying on the background

Hi everyone

I have a weird issue : if conky is launched and I open a GTK application,  conky goes to the foreground. This doesn't happen when I open a Qt app or with urxvt.

I know this has something to do with this line :

own_window_type override

If I change the option to own_window_type desktop.
Everything is fine. My only problem is that when I use my "Show Desktop" keyboard shortcut, conky will also be minimized.

It should be possible to have both, no? Always keep conky on the background even with the "Show Desktop" shortcut.
What am I missing?
