After Upgrading Mplayer i cant play any AVI

what happened ? i've just updated to mplayer mplayer-1.0pre3-1
and my avi stoped playing
here is the output
Playing /home/cartridge/porn/Viviane.Araujo- DVD revista Sexy 2003.avi.
AVI file format detected.
it appears that it is playing but it isnt
and it is processing the movie, 100% cpu load

i can play mpeg and stuff still

well, untill this problem is solved i made my own package, it runs ok, i took off some options, here is my configure options:

./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-gui --enable-linux-devfs  --enable-sdl --enable-x11 --enable-real --with-win32libdir=/usr/lib/win32

and here is the default options:

./configure --prefix=/usr --enable-gui --enable-linux-devfs
    --disable-alsa --disable-arts --disable-mad --disable-external-faad
    --enable-sdl --enable-x11 --enable-real --with-win32libdir=/usr/lib/win32
    --enable-runtime-cpudetection

I know that this options are made to run in any i686, but it fails to run avi on mine .

mplayer-1.0pre3-1 didn't play movies and ate 100% cpu also on my machine.
But there is already new package available: mplayer-1.0pre3-2, it works for me.

unfortunately i don't think it is mentioned in the docs as most people writing docs would probably be the type of person that would assume that everyone would know to submit a bug.

when i was maintaining packages i always preferred as complete a bug report as possible be filed. complete to me is a full account of what was done to get the error, any error output, and things possibly tried to remedy the situation. one could always go a step further and provide fixes if they found them (patches, etc). if the error occurs when trying to compile a package with abs it is manditory that ALL the error be included and not just the trailing lines such as:

make[1]: *** [sound_oss.o] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/var/abs/multimedia/alsa-driver/src/alsa-driver-1.0.0rc2/acore'
make: *** [compile] Error 1

it is the lines above this that are the ones that hold the key to the answer.
