Sorry for being such a terrible n00b, but I would like to try running E19 through wayland rather than X since it has full wayland support now, just to see whether or not my laptop will explode.
I'm running the radeon open source driver, I've installed E19 through the official enlightenment package (wayland is a dependency for it) and I do not have X11 installed, so does anyone know how I can launch enlightenment with wayland?

E19 from repo doesn't come with Wayland enabled(I guess). You gotta install enlightenment wayland from AUR,

Are you sure? Wayland is a dependency for it

I'm sure. It has wayland client support, but will not run on wayland only. That needs an entirely different (and separate) build.

Install that package, reboot, login to a TTY and type enlightenment_start_wayland.
Be prepared for the worst, as E wayland support is REALLY early, and a lot of things don't work (Last time I tried it, there was no XWayland support so not many programs would even run), and it'll probably crash out.
The E guys are great about responding to bug reports though, so be ready to debug it and send them your dumps!

enlightenment alert no such file or dir Scimmia had me try a build 1 version back but same error. Anybody got this aur pkg working or have a clue?
