The issue I am having is described (but not solved, unfortunately) here:
https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour … g/1156398/
The TL;DR of the issue is that scp-dbus-service is creating hundreds of thousands of files in my tmp directory, which very quickly makes my system unusable. It also seems to make printing spotty at best.
I am using an HP LaserJet M1217nfw MFP, and my CUPS is version 2.0.0-1.
My ideal solution would be if there were some clean way to forward everything to my Windows machine and let it take care of the dirty work, as Linux support is not a strong point for HP. How much of this "stuff" can I push off to Windows?
If none of that would help, does anyone here have any ideas as to other potential workarounds/fixes? While I don't REALLY need to print and scan from this machine, it would definitely make my life a lot easier.
