I wonder if this is a problem with gmail's smtp server, since this is not the first time I cannot send email via Evolution.
This time this error message appears:
'The reported error was "MAIL FROM command failed: Authentication Required.'
Everything seems to be OK, the settings from gmail's settings are:
server: smtp.googlemail.com port 465
server requires authentication - yes
security: SSL on a dedicated port
authentication: login
username: my complete gmail address
Where is the problem?

Fundamental Axiom of the Universe (aka Murphy's Law): Whatever can go wrong, will go wrong.
First Digital Deduction: Nothing obeys Murphy's Law so well as computers.
Second Digital Deduction: Everything go wrong at least once.
Third Digital Deduction: Things go wrong even when there's absolutely no possibility of anything go wrong.

For me it's been this way ever since the Gnome 3.14 update hit last week...evolution bug?
edit- I tried resetting the password by deleting it from the keyring in seahorse, no bueno.
