KDE is total .....

This morrning i saw that my kde can't start..last night i haven't problems all was good.. i reinstall it .. i set hardly all.. then my kde again was broken.I start kde with startx cmd .. i have .xinitrc file in which i have "exec startkde".When i type this it starts KDE splash but it loads only to "initializing system services" and then the load proccess not responding..can anyone tell me where is the problem !?

I have the same font paths, and get the same errors. They seem to be correct, the font files are there (and this on a system after a reinstall, no xorg 6...)

Maybe the problem is the fonts not being installed, I for example skipped 100dpi and 75dpi and type1 fonts... Did you too?

Are you using a firewall package ?

I had similar problems a while ago and found that 'initializing system settings' needs network functions that were blocked by the firewall.


Disliking systemd intensely, but not satisfied with alternatives so focusing on taming systemd.

clean chroot building not flexible enough ?
Try clean chroot manager by graysky
